Improve Vision and Nourish Blood with Red Congee

Alaina’s Red Congee 1 c Sweet Brown Rice ½ c Red Lentils ½ c Red Adzuki beans ½ c Gou Qi Zi berries ¼ c Red Quinoa Wash all ingredients in a strainer. Cook for 2-3 hours in 6 or more cups of pure water. Crock pots work beautifully just turn it on low and leave it overnight. Season as desired.  Add more water if too thick. Congees can be sweet or savory.   Seasoning examples:  Tumeric, Cumin, Coriander or Curry Powder, (add to the mixture while cooking) Moroccan spices, or add Braggs Liquid Aminos or soy sauce, Black or Brown Sesame Oil to taste when serving, green onions, grated ginger root,...
