Most of us experience pain in our lives which can range from mildly annoying to severely debilitating.  It may originate from injury, illness, trauma or an unknown cause.  Pain is our body’s call to us to pay attention and make an adjustment.  Ignoring the message can have far reaching consequences.  Medicating our pain without inquiring into it’s cause is a dangerous practice and yet that is exactly what most people do.  If your pain persists more than a short period of time without a clear cause ie muscle pain following a vigorous workout seek the advice of your health care provider or doctor. Over time you become what you think. “Energy follows thought.” The mind is the most powerful tool we have. How are you using it? Is it a positive and constructive tool for achieving your goals and life purpose or is it negative and destructive? The power is within you to create a good and enriching life to benefit yourself, your family, your community and the world. What steps can you take to train your mind to help you attain a balanced and harmonious life? 1) Learn and practice Meditation or Quiet Sitting. 2) Spend time walking or hiking in the natural world and observing phenomena 3) Learn and practice Tai Chi, Chi Gong, Eight Treasures, Dao-In or a Yoga form. 4) Release negative thoughts. Ginseng Chicken Soup for the Soul

Ginseng Chicken Soup 4 servings 1 Whole Organic Chicken 20 oz Ginseng (Ren shen) 20 pieces red dates (Da Zao) 30 gm GoJi Berries (gou qi zi) Salt Wash the chicken and remove the giblets. Place 10 gm of ginseng, 10 gm goji and 10 pieces of red date in the cavity of the chicken. Place chicken breast side up in stock pot.  Add enough water to cover 8-10 c.
